WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE
ORIGINAL AIR DATE: SEPTEMBER 29th, 1966
Geust Stars: John Bellah, Bruce Hyde and Stewart Moss
THE PLOT:
While attempting to rescue a science team off a dying planet. They discover that the team is dead in very odd places. They
find out that they were the victim of an unknown virus that thanks to a careless crewman is brought aboard the Enterpise and
standard decomp isn't enough to wipe out this diese.
The infection speads like wild fire and with the engines shut off, it looks like they won't be able to escape the planet
before it destroys itself.
THE OPINION:
This is a funny and tragic story. It is one of my favorite non-monster episodes. It's memorable and they even continue the
plot in TNG series decades later in a episode they dubbed THE NAKED NOW. Anyway, a classic.
