THE PLOT:
An Earth Colony is wiped out and the Enterprise is lured into a trap. While in pursuit of the unknown aliens called the Gorn,
both ships are taken over by yet another unknown alien called the Metrons.
The Metrons condemn Kirk and the Captain of the Gorn ship to one on one combat to the death using only elements found
on the planet. The loser's ship will be destroyed.
Now alone against a stronger tougher enemy like nothing he's seen before, Kirk must put his knowledge of basic Earth science
to bare or die.
THE OPINION:
I love the Gorn and Ted Cassidy as the voice of the Gorn is so cool. The plot works and the effects and backdrops are great.
One of the best episodes of Season 1 and will be in my top 10 best episodes of this season.
